This morning a package arrived and The Pastor’s Wife: Strengthened by Grace for a Life of Love by Gloria Furman was waiting inside! I’m already started onto chapter 2, and am challenged by her writing so far, especially how she is feeding my soul with the gospel!
Also waiting its turn to be picked up and read is Expositional Preaching: How We Speak God’s Word Today by David Helm. A dear friend passed on her copy to my husband to read, and he highly recommended it.
Last, but not least, I’m trying to finish reading One Bible, Many Versions: Are All Translations Created Equal? by Dave Brunn, a Bible translator and one of the adjunct teachers from Emanate. It’s been so fascinating, and I love his perspective on translations.
